What is a Dlog?

A Dlog is either a Journal entry or a Project with a reminder list. Throughout the day you can add Dlogs based on different topics.

Why Journal?

Journaling is a way to reflect and make sense of what is going on in your life. It has been shown to improve well-being when used regularly as a means to evaluate or reevaluate important issues or events to you. For more information about the benefits of journaling, use your friendly Dlog Discuss to explore this in depth.

Why Projects?

A project is a new innovation by Dlog which adds a reminders list that is unique to that project. Often times when journaling you might come up with some actions to take after you have finished reflecting. So it made sense to add a reminder list to a Dlog and we called it projects.

Do I need to sign in? Is it secure?

You don’t need to sign in to create or save a Dlog, and this is secure because all Dlogs are saved to your calendar, which is already highly secure. Dlog is different to most journals because it does not have a database where your Dlogs are stored. Instead, we add Dlogs to your calendar as an event. Your calendar is already private and secure so, no, you do not need to sign in to Dlog, just to your calendar and yes, it is secure.

But isn’t sign in required in Dlog Discuss?

Yes, Dlog Discuss is different, we do ask you to sign in if you are using the AI – this is to store Token data only (i.e. how many words are left per month to use with Dlog Discuss), not chats, we do not retain any of your chats, and your chat information is not used to train the ChatGPT 4o mini model.

How many photos can I add per Dlog?

Just one.

The wrong photo is appearing in the calendar sidebar or Dlog writing area

This can happen if you change between items or click buttons multiple times, or too quickly try to switch between items; especially if you have an older device with lower memory. Just click on the buttons or calendar items once to ensure you don’t overload your app.
